Sextant Wines

Proprietors Nancy and Craig Stoller have a deep-rooted history in the wine industry. The Stollers planted Sextant Vineyard in the heart of the El Pomar District in Paso Robles as a certified mother block from which materials are propagated and distributed throughout California. As a third generation grower, Craig has enjoyed watching the industry expand while helping to provide vines for other winegrowers. Sextant’s vineyard is one-of-a-kind for the region and includes the highest quality clones from UC Davis as well as selections imported from the French Entav-Inra program. Sextant currently works with six Cabernet Sauvignon clones, three Cabernet Franc clones, and the very best selections of Merlot, Petite Verdot, and Malbec to give its wines complexity and diversity. Sextant’s vineyards benefit from the state’s largest diurnal temperature swings and soil types (similar to the soils in much of France). Grapes planted here fully ripen and create rich wines of supreme quality.
